Innovative Staffing Is A Top Fundraiser For American Heart Association Heart Walk
Utah-based company supports Heart Walk because of personal experience with Heart Disease

Salt Lake City, UT- 9/17/07- Innovative Staffing Incorporated (ISI), a premier human resource outsourcing provider, today announced its final donation figure of $3,425 to the America Heart Association’s Heart Walk.

Over the past month, ISI engaged their clients and employees in raising donations as well as recruiting walkers to join the Heart Walk. ISI received tremendous support and was one of the top fundraising companies for the Heart Walk.

ISI supported the Heart Walk because of a personal experience on behalf of owners Michelyn and John Farnsworth.

“My husband and I were especially compelled to support the Heart Walk because of a very personal experience we’ve shared as a family,” said Michelyn Farnsworth, CEO of Innovative Staffing. “Our daughter Shayne was born with a life threatening heart defect. We have had many trying times in helping Shayne fight for her life. Because of the life-saving research and medical advancements that are available because of organization’s like the American Heart Association, our four-year old Shane is alive and doing well.”

The Utah Chapter of the American Heart Association is still in need of donations. The Heart Walk is a fundraising event that helps to save lives. In addition to raising money to fund research, the event educates and spread awareness about how to live a healthier lifestyle to prevent heart disease and stroke.

“In addition to supporting the Heart Walk in the community, we also believe in extending our support to our company family,” said Farnsworth. “We care about each of our employees and we want them to be around for a very long time. One of the ways that we fight heart disease and stroke in our office, is by sponsoring fitness challenges for employees to encourage them to make healthier-life choices. We recommend that other companies sponsor similar programs.”
