Bushman and Associates is a full-service accounting and consulting firm that caters to clients ranging from individuals to medium-size corporations. With over 25 years of service, Bushman and Associates specializes in tax planning and preparation for businesses and individuals, exempt organizations, retirement plans and estates and trusts. Other services include accounting and auditing services and business and technology consulting.

Bushman and Associates employs approximately 12 employees, all of which have been carefully considered by each of the partners. Farrell Skidmore, who is a partner at the firm, says that when the company recruits a new employee, they remember that the new employee just might be their next partner. Bushman and Associates hired Innovative Staffing, Incorporated (ISI) to ensure the highest quality human resource services and competitive healthcare benefits possible for each of their employees.

Before employing ISI, Bushman and Associates handled all of the payroll and healthcare benefits functions internally. Bushman and Associates had also used other staffing companies but encountered many problems in doing so, including several instances where the insurance company did not pay out health claims submitted.

Skidmore added that since they are a small company, they had a difficult time finding reasonably-priced healthcare insurance, especially since they have employees who have dependant children with healthcare issues. Before ISI, Bushman and Associates’ employees were paying very high monthly premiums.

Throughout their two year relationship with ISI, Bushman and Associates have been able to offer their employees a family plan that provides a 50 percent savings compared to their previous insurance provider.
